WHO / WHAT / WHY??

WHO / WHAT / WHY??

Cinema Of Tomorrow is made up of Milo and Rhi. Since 2025, as PEPCOT– Peckham Experimental Prototype Cinema Of Tomorrow – we have hosted screenings at venues across South London – including Atlas Cinema, The Cinema Museum and the Piehouse Co-Op – to raise money for communities and causes, both local and further afield. But now that the experimental prototype has proven a great success PEPCOT is evolving…

Our vision is to create a new one-screen Cinema of Tomorrow in South East London showing thoughtfully curated repertory and independent film. It will be a neighbourhood place to relax with a cold drink, a tasty snack and a movie gem from the last century and more of filmmaking. It will be a place where local programmers and filmmakers can show movies on the big screen and truly engage with their audiences. It will be a place to encounter heterogenous perspectives and to nurture creativity in film exhibition. It will be a place to think together about the world, history, and society, and in the process imagine different tomorrows. It will be affordable, so you can take a chance on a two hour movie for less than you are paid for an hour of work. At the core of this vision is our belief that the shared space of the cinema can generate some of the community, collectivity and utopian imagination that our atomised society needs.
